Gratz to deftone on his CB750 making it into Cafe Racer mag Oct/Nov edition page 15.. As with Spikey I felt that there should have been more pic's of the bike and a bigger write up.. however a mention is a mention..

Gratz again! For those that don't know here is the bike.

It's not the knees which are the problem, a few wrong landings bugger the shoulders and wrists pretty quickly though. I rode biketrials for many years and fully rigid bikes tend to be unforgiving, but are really what you need. I can't imagine that road bike lasting too long though given how much hardcore mtb and trials specific stuff gets broken in the sport. It's fun though and will perk up your balance and slow speed handling big time.

still, impressive to see it done on a road bike.

Seems like the front end is more for looks, I mean it seems it would be real mushy. Also whats with the black brace? Wouldn't it dig into the front tire at some point?

Ha! It is a little colorfull for my taste but I like the bike. There is some pics of somebody riding it around a dirt  track. The modern dirt track forks are pretty similar.

Looks like the "design" is taken from a rear mountain bike suspention...and your son has a good eye.

Its not a mountain bike design..
it is a leading link fork, used on a few bikes..

 Stock Beemers to mid sixties..
 Jawa  speedway bikes.
 Hercules and Greeves dirtbikes..
many sidecar rigs, use them as well.
