If the bike in the pic is Howell's, then I'm cornfused. His build thread shows Yamaha forks, not Marzocchis. And his triple clamp is one made by Rob at Voxonda... Is the bike in the pic Howell's?  Did he change from the Marzocchis to Yamahas? Anyway, I'm really impressed with the bike in the photo; the Brembo calipers with Ducati(?) rotors looks lethal!  RR
I was put on Earth to accomplish a certain number of things. Now I'm so far behind, I'll never die!

Any more pics of the rusty gold.wing?

Yep that's Paul Dutra's bike.  He owns Dutra's Customs in Toronto.  Cool cat and a contributor over at DTT.  I give him serious street cred, he rode that sucker cross country!

I love this BMW. I would love to build one but man the donor bikes are way to expensive.
Here is a link to the build thread on ADV.

This one perplexes me.  USD forks on a...hardtail?  Stock peg location and clip-ons?  Modern cruiser front tire and #$%*ty retro rear?  It's confused, and I would hope not too inspiring...

But it's late, maybe I'm tired?  :)

Hardtail?  But, its got a springy seat.  ;D
My bike has lower bars on it, and a more crouched riding position, don't want rear-sets though.
Tires?  ya, that was an odd choice.
Still inspiring for what was done, and looks badass, IMO.

also need to consider that we have no history on many of these bikes...  some of these bikes may very well be works in progress.  aren't most of ours?

I know it has an odd exhaust Heff but it just don't sound like a four cylinder. Sounds more like a 450 Honda CRF single.

i think the bike is great looking but i def think you make some great observations... most chopped bikes arent made with the rideability in mind.... i wouldnt be suprised if he put the tire he wanted on the back (after it wore out)and hadnt changed the front one yet because it had some life in it.... who built this bike is there more of a back story on it?
