What tires are those?

Tires look like flat track skins.

yamaha tdr w/ a rd500 engine

I'm drooling over this work of Art  ;D I can see a real craftsman built this;look at the professional race custom built headers. They are a true masterpiece.I'd like to afford to be able to have that genius build a set for a big bore 86' VFR700F Interceptor.
75' CB400F/'bunch o' parts' & 81' CB125S modded to a 'CB200S'

Just saw the new BMW Nine-T at Roland Sands Design today.  Brand new model, not yet on the market, but RSD has developed some trick parts for it.

Wonder if he's come up with a swing arm that doesn't snap off?

+1  I could understand using it if fit with the rest of the bike's colour scheme, but have yet to see that.

I'm not the biggest fan of the custom saddle on the a RSD version of the Nine-T, but the bike kicks ass. At $16K for a retro twin, I don't see this appealing to the "squid" market.

Most BMWs generally don't appeal to the squid market.   ;)

Obviously not a rider, that seat would be toast leaving the driveway (and all the electrics inside ::)).  Only thing interesting is the tank graphic.  At least the brown seat matches the ugly brown pipe wrap.

Have you seen the bike from the backside? How do you know the tail section is not slotted to give the tire some room to travel? Looks like the batter is under the swing arm and electronics under the seat so I disagree with your assessment. I think the bike is cool with excellent lines.

Oh man I'm glad you said it.  ;D I hate to graduate to "old poop" but I couldn't ride that thing out of a forest fire. Motorcycle ergonomics......completely wrong, sorry.

Yeah because all bikes are built with the expectation they could be on a MotoGP grid at any point in time. Like almost any hobby, be it motorcycles, cars, bikes, etc people have different motivations for their end goal. It might not be the best performing bike but I bet it does just fine getting around town.

This is the inspiration thread, not the performance section and there are parts on that bike that I find inspirational.

Good luck getting that stick out of your boot.

I'll fix that for you... " Bikes are built with the expectation that you can ride them, and safely for their intended purpose."...
All these unsafe poser bikes will do is push up insurance premiums.... :o
