Hey, dg, welcome aboard!

Not to steal members from this board, but for a more Honda twin focus, try out Hondatwins forums at http://hondatwins.com/phpBB1/  or try out the Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Owners Group at http://www.vjmog.com/forums.html

As for parts, there are a number of online parts sources:  Oldbikebarn and Bikebandit for the harder-to-find hardware (engine parts, etc).  DennisKirk and JCWhitney for the "consumables" like cables, tuneup stuff, tires, etc.

Those twinstars were great little bikes (for what they were).  I've owned two over the years, a '79 and a '78.  The '78, I commuted 10K miles on in less than a year at 60 mph & 75 mpg, until the countershaft oil seal backed out, allowing the engine to pump all its oil out on the ground as I was driving along at 50mph.  Motor siezed up tighter than a drum, and that was the end of that poor bike!

Anyway, hope you enjoy it.

Kirk

Be careful of Old Bike Barn. You might have a good experience but....
