Moonshine Lunch Run
« on: April 14, 2008, 11:47:07 AM »
Hey all!  So this weekend was a pretty crappy as far as weather is concerned.  Not only did it rain all weekend, but the average temperature was about 40, so it snowed a little too.  None the less, i went on a trip with my friends!  It's an annual event called the Moonshine Lunch Run.  It takes place in a little town outside of Casey Ill called Moonshine.  It has a population of 2, and you ride there to eat hamburgers.  They claim to have the best burgers in the nation, and have even been on the CBS Morning show, so it was totally worth it.  I had a great time despite the rain.  I but one seemingly minor problem with my bike, but overall no complaints.  I'd say that there were probably 300 or so bikes there at one point during the day.  Good times.

Looks like a lot of fun. It's good to see a lot of bike diversity as well.
Gotta love them burgers!

My wife and I were there on my 2003 Buell XB9S (now sold)! Will probably be there again next year with my only remaining bike, the trusty 750k8 :)

My wife in rain-gear. It rains EVERY year!

After driving through rain and 35 degree weather waiting in line for a moonburger was a treat!

Uh, sorry it took so long to respond to this.  It's funny that you should mention that you were there on a Buell, and now that I see the pictures I can tell you that my friends and I actually talked to you for a while on sunday morning.  If I'm correct, we were sitting in the conferance room of the hotel eating breakfast or something.  It had to be you.  You guys had the only Buell I'm sure.
