Q about ebay...
« on: April 14, 2008, 05:47:43 PM »
... in a recent thread here I learned about the handy ebay search option for searching items that have been sold. Cool ...  8)

so I was watching a particular item get bidded on to get an idea of the value. The auction ended .. and now the item is no where to be found??? Everything seemed to be on the up and up ... handful of bidders .. them and the seller all in good standing ..  what gives? ???

For those that are curious .. it was a MicroMoog synth ...
I have one that has been collecting dust for quite a few years, and realized that I could sell it and pay for some bike parts!
Going price range seems to be 500 to 800 ... not bad when it only cost me 100 (but that was 20 years ago)
Anybody here interested in a vintage micromoog synth (circa.1976) before I throw it up on ebay?

Oh and don't forget about my first question...  ???

If the auction completely disappeared, then it was pulled by ebay for some reason.  An auction that was just ended early by the seller would still show up in a search or in your "watched items" list.

I had an auction pulled because I told folks why I didn't want to accept Paypal.  They called to "fee evasion" and told me to "build the cost of the auction into my product"  I guess that means charge more for shipping.
Anyway, Big Brother can do whatever it wants for any reason.  It will probably get relisted later.
Dude- your 8 layers are showing!

and so the item re-appeared on ebay with the note "This Item has been relisted because of false bidding, I hope this doesn't happen again"

it's already much higher bidwise than before ... which may or may not be a good thing.
