Twin/Dual Headlight options for a 73 CB350F? IN USA?
« on: August 14, 2005, 06:27:48 PM »
Hi,

I was looking into getting some of those Streetfighter 3.5" dual headlights from the UK, but then I realized the shipping was pretty dang steep, and the dollar being kinda weak, is there anywhere in the States that sells them, or other options I could consider. Looking for side mount...

Thanks!

Are you talking about PIAA style headlamps or the old chrome bates style? Most harley shops can get you a pates style but those are bottom mount. One way I have found to convert side mount to bottom mount is to get a piece of bar stock and have it drilled and tapped (threaded) to take the side mount bolts and the bottom mount bolts. This works best with aftermarket headlight ears that can be clamped anywhere on the fork. the other way to do it is to take a thick piece of flat stock and bend up the ends so they can be bolted to the fork ears. PIAA style lights can be gotten at any auto parts store but most are bottom mount (the flat stock mount works well for this).
