Congratulations there "Grandpa"! ;D  That's cool. 8) Soon as they're old enough, you get them involved with motorcycles, perferably Vintage SOHC4 Hondas that is! ;D Don't let them spit up on them though, that would be messy! :D

Good thing our parents had us and saw us through the times, to get US out of the nest huh? ;D

Been there, done that. ;) On thing about being a Grand Parent, the kids go HOME, after a visit, and you can get on with whatever. :)

I concur. First grand daughter was born last August; second grand daughter (different son) is due this August.

Seems like there are a lot of Grandparents here. ;) And that is very cool too! 8) ;) In MY case, We've only got one child (our Daughter) and she's "Special Needs" (as some of you know) and won't ever marry, much less have kids. But, that's fine. We've resigned to that a long time ago and we're okay with it. :)  Sure, I'd like to have Grandchildren, but that's the way it goes.  ;)  Nothing says that we can't enjoy other's Grandchildren.

Kinda makes me wonder if we should start a registry of "Grandparents". ;)  Starting to sound like we've got a fair number and getting more all the time. 8) Gotta be cool to carry on the Family Name and also the Ancestry just continues to grow.  ;)

OK, now, am I the only GREAT grandfather here?  And I am still just a kid who can't resist an occasional wheelie or doing the ton.

Just remember what goes in the top comes out the other end smellier and messier
Semi Geriatric ex-Honda mechanic and MOT tester (UK version of annual inspection). Garage full of "projects" mostly 500/4 from pre 73 (no road tax in UK).

Congratulations, but technically speaking, shouldn't you be called stepgrandfather?

One of my mother's aunts died last week at 94. She left two grand-grand-grandsons (or whatever your grandson's grandsons are named in english....  ;D

Just wait a few years, you'll be buying more bikes, teaching him how to ride and work on them etc. Trust me, I'm doing it now, and having a blast:

A good bike mechanic only needs two tools, WD40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move, but should, use the WD40. If it does move but shouldn't use the duct tape.
