Project Mad Max
« on: May 06, 2008, 03:11:11 PM »
This is the opening post to a new CB750 project that may be starting very soon...I have basicly come to a stand still on Reaper due to the shop that was helping build the bike has seriously screwed some friends over so i gotta pay my bill there and get it and the S2 out of there. This bike will be built at home with help from my roommate. Now what i would like to do is get ahold of a CB750 chassis to put my CB engine into then build an MFP style bike except using the colors from my company on it lol. Basicly creating a honda version of Gooses bike from Mad Max.

Stage 1

Acquire CB750 chassis or build a chopper chassis which will result in a roadwarrior style machine.
Adapt the VF750 front forks to the CB chassis replacing the stem on the triple with the CB Stem.
Build a new swing arm that allows the use of the VF rear wheel and brake hardware.

What comes to your mind when you think of a "roadwarrior style machine"?  In other words, what are the defining characteristics, in your opinion?

stripped down and basic in appearance..faded paint..generally looking like its been through hell and back. a bit of rust actually helps the look not hurt it. non stock items like work lights for headlights and pieces of rebar for foot pegs..stuff like that..

the Goose is so badass that dude and the Toecutter are some of very best all time  motorcycle movie characters ever, there is no faking that speedo on the goose bike it looks like 120 or 130! They stop the sidecar chopper dude so Goose could try and goose her. I think they sell a perfect copy of the Goose bike for like 30000 in Japan
