I like everything but the exhaust. You did the best you could, but the frame made you comprimise and it looks a bit rough.

that front fender looks whacky  :(  but, i actually think the bike is kinda cool.  a smaller front fender (can still have a dirtbike fender) and that bike would really look the part... aside from the 4 exhaust pipes coming out of the engine  ;)

cb750s were intended to always have a fork brace, it is the mount for the stock fender on a stock bike. They are hella wobbly without one.

Although the front end on that enduro looks like extended cb1100F forks and wheel, I would still be wary about riding it without some kind of fork brace, espically since it is extended.

God, I thought that POS was gone for good? What a waste of a perfectly good CB750? If it was a "lesser" SOHC4, I couldn't care less, but a 750? Blasphemy! ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

agreed paulages... and my 350 does fine w/out a fender brace  ;D  perhaps, because it is a "lesser" bike  :P  at least people don't say that i'm trying to compensate for something... until i jump on the 7r  8)

well, don't get me wrong--i love the feeling of hard, smooth acceleration on a 750. feels powerful. but when i'm on the twisties, i'll take my 550 any day. in any case, who am i to talk---i plan to smoke stock 750's with my 718.  ;D ;D

Oops, sorry guys, didn't mean to insult your bikes, what I meant was that historically, the 750 is the only sohc4 that will be remembered, all the other sohc4's were good bikes for sure, (I had a 350F and it was a great bike) but had no real historical significance, and I hate to see classic CB750's ruined at the hands of would-be "customisers", like I see here quite regularly.

A 718 (WTF is a 718?) smoking a 750? I'm not surprised mate, if you think you're gonna take a little sohc4 engine (it started as a 500, then 550, 650 etc, but the bottom end and transmission was only designed to handle the moderate power of a 500 ?) that far from it's original design brief with any hint of reliability, you're gonna be so disappointed.

It may well beat a 750 (same as a 750 would blow it right off the road with the 1060cc Cobra engine) but most of the "smoke" will be coming from your engine and gearbox, ha ha! Cheers, Terry. ;D

i think if the headers went strait under the motor then use a Y pipe and run one pipe up each side of the bike ,using smaller diameter pipe, and a smaller muffler...

just my opinion..

i do like the concept.. why fade in to the back round, when you can be centerstage....

The bike looks generally good and I am really impressed with the Cafe work I have been seeing. I think those pipes look really forced into the design. I am sure you worked your butt off, but you may want to step back and take another look. Better we tell you than you get some crap on the street and you have to smack someone.

terry---the inside of the 750 gearbox i've peeked at didn't really look all that different, and i've been told by others that these things were built sturdier than necessary to begin with. we'll see anyway...it is roughly the equivalent of getting 971cc's out of a cb750 (almost as much of an increase as a cobra).

in any case, i was just kidding---i could care less if you or anybody thinks the smaller bikes are "lesser." it aint a big dick contest. but it looks like i might have struck a nerve talking about smoking one with a modified lesser bike...   ;) ;)

i think it would look tons better if you just got rid of the back half of the seat and made the exhaust a little shorter at the end and smaller diameter maybe.  the back end of the bike is too high compared to the front.  i know this would add to the heat problem with the exhaust right at your anus, but it would look better.  a rear fender would make the back end look a little more complete as well if you can figure out a way to reattach the back half of the old fender or something like that.
