Topic: Do you lube your chain after you wash your bike?

I have read people talk about re-lubing the chain every time they wash the bike. Do you guys all do that?  How much relubing is really done?  What kind of lube do you use?

I do this.  Even if you don't scrub the chain, the soapy water attacks the lube.

I prop up the back of the bike, spin the rear tire, and hose down the chain pretty good.  Then I continue to spin the tire while wiping up the excess with a rag.

I am currently using Honda's branded chain lube.

Early 750s don't need as much lube if the auto-oilers are working properly, but I do so anyway.  Too much means some cleaning, too little means a broken chain

The Scottoiler does it for me.

I lube after a ride. This gives the lube a better chance to penetrate and a longer time to set up to the sticky state. Same time for maintenance, less time for cleaning = more time for riding.  Just my 2 cents.

I think many of the early 750 owners have disabled the auto oilers.  What a stinkin' mess that was!!!

I clean and lube my chain frequently as well as with every wash.

The auto oiler...I disabled mine.
But now that I'm thinking of it... can the auto oiler be adjusted to lubricate only enough? Has anybody been able to do this? If so why would it be any different than a Scottoiler?

I really like no oil spots under my bike everywhere I park.
