Topic: who hates verison?

    wow back from 2 weeks without phone service.  there was a small bit of nasty storms that ran by my area around the 8th and verison took their sweet ass time getting over here to fix it.  everytime i called, on the cell phone, they added 4 days to the date they said they would fix it!     I'm sure the cell phone bill will be through the roof this month, but i sure as hell aint paying $50 for using the house phone half the month. 

which brings me to my question.  does anyone have that "vonage" phone service that goes through their broadband connection?  I was thinking about getting cable internet and just getting vonage.  anyone have any idea how that work or have had good/bad luck with it?

but to answer your first question  ......
I do, I do  ..... that is, emphatically HATE Verizon. They are slime and their service sucks and they cheated me. Ditto for AT&T, except they cheated me for much more money than Verizon ever thought about. 
I will spend my money elsewhere whenever I have the opportunity!!

I had Vonage for about 2 months than went back to Verizon.  Vonage had great pricing,etc... and the service was okay but I constantly got ALOT of static during the day.  I work from home and make calls all day and it got to the point where I couldn't even hear the dial tone when I picked up.  I live in an apartment so that may be the issue as the broadband gets split.  I have friends who have it at there house and have not had a problem.  When I buy a house I may go back and try again.
