Hello from the North Ga. Mountains.
« on: May 26, 2008, 04:25:20 PM »
I just became the proud owner of a 78 550K. It has been sitting in a shed since 96 so its not in the best shape. It was a freebie though so im not complaining. Ive been looking thru the forum for a few days and it seems ive found the right place for some good advice from some knowledgable folks. Ill post some pics in another thread.

A belated welcome fellow rebuilder, the welcome is usually more welcome but everybody is busy rebuilding or the even luckier ones are out riding.
10 years in a shed, you're gonna need to talk to the 550 boys on here..............Hush.
I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!

Welcome.  Where in N. GA?
I'm in Villa Rica, GA and ride in the Blue Ridge - Suches area sometimes.  Highway 60 is a great road.  By the way, my '73 CB500 - 4 sat in a barn for 21 years until my dad found it at one of his friend's house.  It cleaned up nicely and runs good now.
