Hello
I've recently had the carbs cleaned on my 76 CB400F and replaced all jets and the bike runs well, but is prone to flooding for a short time on start up when the fuel is turned on through the overflow pipe on one carb.
My mechanic has come up with the theory that some or all the floats may be porous and having absorbed fuel and being heavier could rise more slowly causing the overflow. Does anyone know if this is possible? What are the floats made of - are they hollow or solid? What theories does anyone have? Advice would be appreciated.
Cheers
Paul
