Well it was grey and cloudy, but I decided to take my Honda up to Knebworth for the 2008 Classic Bike show. It was the first time I've ever taken the old Honda on the motorway and it was all motorway for about 25-30 miles each way!! Can't say it was particularly pleasant as the stretch to the bars coupled with the wind resistance and the high frequency vibration on the right bar was very tiring.. But we managed to easily cruise at 70 with the odd faster blast.
Some photos of the bikes.
I followed this gleaming Suzuki multi-piper into the venue.
.. and parked up next to this little Honda 50
Some Fizzies for the enthusiasts.
Knebworth house
There was quite a good showing of Japanese machines there. Probably outnumbering the brits at least in the 70+ categories. I liked these little Suzukis they were kind of like grown up monkey bikes!
A nice 70's Beemer..
I was drooling over this gorgeous Enfield Cafe racer.
A huge (850cc) GP800 scooter puts in an appearance
.. and a fuoco 500 three wheeled scooter (called MP3 500 in the states) with a very odd screen arrangement.
Of course there were lots of "proper" Mods there.
Triumph Rocket III's in various flavours from fairly normal (well as normal as a rocket III can be)
through customised
to Triked..
A very nice Honda 350 Twin.
They say that the Honda 350 Four is the sewing machine of the motorcycle world... nah, surely that would be this Singer!!
This was one Modern bike that I like the look of..
and in the background there's a very sexy seventies Honda 350 four!!
