This is my 1981 CM400 Custom I restored in spring 2007.  I found the bike with 1,300 miles on it.  Needed a lot of TLC and had dried valve seals and needed new rings.  Now it is a fine runner.

my '77 550. trying to figure out 2 more things for it. different seat, something cafe-like but able to do 2-up. also i do a lot of highway so somekind of windshield/fairing.   got some black tommaselli clipons coming but the clamps are a tad to big i think. maybe some shims will work??
But thence came the Great Schism, when the two like tribes diverged, and the Bobbers did take the Road to Cruiserdom and the Cafe Racers did ride to Sportbikedom and they did pollute the lands along their paths with their abominable spawn of Choppers, Stuntaz and like manner of unholy douchebaggery

Hey Tom8Toe - is your bike the one I have been seeing parked down on Shilshole off and on the last few weeks?  If so, it's as good looking in person as it is in the pictures.

Neudl, It's quite possible as the bikes been at Twinline Motorcycles in Georgetown getting the issue with the charging system fixed and they've been putting miles on the bike to ensure there's no issue when the bikes handed back over to me. I can't wait to put some of my own miles on it.

Heres a couple from the shed tonight. The 350 is still hot. The last pic is from last weekend of my Father and I. First time weve ridden together. It was and will be a very memorable weekend. Thats a 73 350f running project and a 75 550k all original.

I think I'll be busy going for a ride.

Good luck!

This forum undoubtably has some of the sweetest vintage Jap bikes anywhere - how awesome it is to see such pristine examples of everything from stockers, to cafes, to chops. What a great site.

I checked the properties on some of these, how come they're not in the Gallery? Start an album, link to those and save them for posterity. ;)

I picked up my 76 550f a month ago with the intent to make a cafe racer but now im realize that stock is a thing of beauty!
Im starting to have regrets that i went the cafe route first. oh well... thats reason enough for me to get another cb ;D

Here's a trio for your perousal.

1976 CB400f cherry condition.

CB500/550 registered as a 73, but many models and years have donated parts. Nice and light and a blast to ride.

1973 K3, bought it new. It's been roadraced, crashed, tortured, ridden many miles and never EVER left me stranded in 35 years. Pretty damn good old bike!
