newbie in southern wi. lovin the site

I guess I have been reading lots about the honda cb550 and am now totally stoked on getting my donor bike. looking to make a cafe project with some upgrades. Big questions have been are there any differences in the 74-78 cb550's in swingarms or front neck diameters? Trying to find an upgrade to fit better tires on. I know it's in here somewhere but thought I would throw it out there for the first post.

Don't know a lot about the 550s but welcome anyway!
There are old bikers and there are bold bikers but there are very few old, bold bikers.

Not doing what you can to make your bike ride-able during the best riding months of the year kind of defeats the purpose of owning it in the first place.

DraginKnee,

Welcome to the forum.

I see you are from Mad City. I'm out in Baraboo. Just got a '76 550 a few weeks back.

Welcome, from one Skonnie to another.  Grew up in Indian Hills on the near west side.

Man, what I wouldn't give for fried cheese curds at the Paradise.

Good luck with the 550, my 750 expertise prolly isn't much help.

Another welcome from just east of Madison!  I hate to be the echo, but I don't know anything about 550s.  Good luck anyways!
