Death from broken collar bone at 39
« on: July 18, 2008, 04:29:52 AM »
I just thought I would share this strange story that happened to my wifes boss this last week. She works for a small company with about 10 employees that find vehicles that people stop making payments on (skiptracing). Her boss just bought a couple dirt bikes and went out with a buddy for a ride. Well, he wiped out and broke his collar bone and had to spend the night in the hospital. He was released the next day and was his usual self, text mailing instructions to his employees from home. Went to sleep that night and didn't wake up. Died in his sleep. They are not sure why yet but some thoughts at first were blood clots. What a shock! All to strange. And to top it off he was just married 4 weeks ago. God speed Brian.

That's very sad. I broke my collar bone aged 19 when playing Rugby (a sort of football game). Very nasty for such a small bone. I hope his family are well taken care of. Regards, Tc

Luckily he took care of business and got his new wife on his business accounts. She is trying to take care of business. It is all to strange. People at her work didn't even go home. Everybody kept working. I think my wife is going to quit today, the dis respectfulness is unbelievable.

Sorry to hear.
I had my collar bone pop outta my skin when I fell skateboarding back in the day.
Not a good bone to break (not that their really is a GOOD one to break)..

My wife is an X-ray tech and she says those collar bone breaks are pretty painful too.

Shoot, I actually just broke my left collar bone at rugby practice last week.  6 years of play and I finally broke a bone.  It's not a bad break though, and only hurts when I try and moving it around too much.  Just really sucks because my doctor says no contact for 12 weeks.   :(

I'm sorry to hear about your wife's boss though, Phxmark123 .  It's crazy how things can just happen like that sometime.
