Greetings From Arkansas
« on: July 20, 2008, 09:03:22 PM »
Hi all,

Well I want you all to know that my life changed not too long ago when I bought a '72 CB750 from my brother-in-laws neighbor. The motor was seized and she's a real case. I am rebuilding and restoring the bike in my profile image as we speak. There are a ton of details and I am neck deep in the process. I don't have the patience to document steps or post on every detail. But I do want to be involved in this forum. This is my first restoration. I am having a ball with it. And if and when I am successful I think I would like to make this into a serious hobby and restore more CB750's.

One note. Tonight my wife let me put the lower end of my case in her oven to heat it up to reinsert a bearing. You really know you have a good woman when you can put your parts into her oven.

This forum is awesome.

Regards,

Hey James,  Welcome to the SOHC4 Forums. 8)  Nice to have another Arkansan around here. We have several and I'm sure that they'll be popping in from time to time. Also have some from Oklahoma and Texas. Not forgetting Louisiana and Tenn. Hey what can I say, we're everywhere! :D  What part of Arkansas are you from? I'm about 12 miles South of Fort Smith myself. ;)

You won't get any argument about this place being Awesome, we've got some great folks from ALL OVER THE PLACE! We're right proud of it too! 8) ;)

BTW, MY wife wouldn't allow the part in the oven thing (or in the freezer!). :(
                                   Take care, Bill
