So, am I the only one who is so shocked to see her become like this, when she once was like this?

I googled yesterday for her because I didn't have the foggiest.

Recently, one of the characters of the spanish version of "Sesame street" passed away at 50 or so from cancer. He was for 20 years away from the limelight.

Can you believe it was front page news? A few generations, among them am I, grew up watching Sesame Street. When this things happens, it is like if a part of you dies, like if a part of your childhood is gone forever. It has happened with clowns, entertainers etc.

It is sad to see somebody you remember as full of energy, in such a condition. It has happened to me with neighbours of my mother, as I was raised there and I remember them like they were 20 years ago. When I go visit her and stumble upon their neighbours I also feel bad about how old do they like. My mother also looks much older than then.

Looking at the bottle as half-full, there are plenty of childhood heroes that passes away very early, from drug addiction, from suicide etc. At least Annette has survived them.....

Yep, that's sad Bill, I wish I hadn't looked..............  :'(
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Yeah Raul, I know exactly what you are saying AND feeling! :( I'm feeling the same the same way. It's a Huge Vicious Cycle. As time goes
on (and it doesn't stop or even slow down), folks age, some develope diseases or whatever and we are also getting closer to the end. Sometimes it feels kind of strange when I realize that I'm in the period where I know that my parents and Grand parents have been (watching close friends get seriously ill and/or die and even such things as seeing the actors and actresses that we grew up enjoying, get those diseases and/or die) and know that one day, it will be MY time. I know that that is just life, but sometimes I think a person needs to just stop and look around to just take stock of where he is in life and thank GOD that they've made it that far and been able to do the things they've done.

Understand that I'm not trying to be a preacher here, just saying that I realize that I'm already in the age group where my time could slip up on me (could have happened before now) and I sure am glad that I'm still able to go on and be there fore my family and for my Dad. That being said, I'm not going to dwell on it, I just had something to say and I'm past that, at least for now. ;)

Take care folks and make the best of the rest of your lives,  Bill ;)

Sorry if I brought you down Terry. As I said, I myself was shocked to see how much she had deteriorated, just knowing how I remember seeing her on QVC, selling her Teddy Bears and watching her years ago on the Disney movies and on the Mickey Mouse Club as a kid myself. :(

hi Bill, yes very sad, like Raul I didn't know who she was until now but I do know what MS can do. I had an aunt with the condition, it came out in her late 20's, It appeared to show itself in waves whereby she seemed a lot better then returned with a vengeance, a long slow death not nice.

Bill, you'd better get up here and get these Super Hawk parts before you get in bad shape like that and can't use them any more. ;)

I knew that Annette had MS, but that picture sure provided more information than I think I wanted.  I saw every one of her movies and she was the only reason to watch the Mickey Mouse Club. (Well, I would have watched it, but this part of the world had just heard rumors about TV, and electricity, and indoor plumbing and stuff like that. ;D ;D)

You will never forget her in Beach Blanket Bingo in 1965 and Fireball 500 in 1966.  Both starred her and Frankie Avalon.  A great time with great movies.  Fun years to grow up at the movies for me.

Speaking of Mouseketeers...

Anyone that ever read Easyrider, probably was PITPLTAO at the stuff JJ Solari would send in.. Man that was hilarious..

When I met Keith Ball.. aka.. Bandit I had to ask..

A few of the things he said were, you would never expect writing like that if you just  saw the man.. and that he contributed way more than they published... just so much of it they could not print..heh heh... ;D

You know guys I hope I go like my old man went to sleep one night and didn't wake up, my mother on the other hand took about 5-6 years to die of Parkinson's and for all you free market types I think I should go visit Parliament and hurl invective at the politicos for bashing government health care and to hell with the capitalist doctors whining about not making enough coin and at 69 I've the right. Hah
