sorry I'm new to crabs and didn't realise they needed grooming.
should one seperate the crabs to groom them properly ?

toothbrush and water with baking soda works real well.
Wipe em down with some lemon juice when finished.

no need to clean em, just plop em in a pot of boiling water.

Crack em open and dip in hot butter before consumption.

I wonder if these boys can be trained to clean carbs, sort of nano-technology. all they would need is a small pick and shovel(nylon of course) and a simple bucket system to bring the debris to the surface.

Shave one half of scrotum.  Bathe unshaven half with alcohol.  Light alcohol with match.  When crabs run to unshven side to escape fire, hit them over the head with a hammer.

I took the boys to a respected Entomologist and he has identified them as crabulus keihinus cleanus. woohoo
am sending them to work now.

Gentlemen, I think you are all missing the point. It's not so much the cleaning, as the synchronising. Getting all four of those little, wiggly bastards to breathe the same amount at the same time is a real pain in the exoskeleton!

You can make this process self-regulating if you train them all to run at a steady pace, thereby converting them to Constant Velocity crabs.

I recall my first time cooking a crab.  When bright red, I couldn't figure out how to get the meat out.  I put one on the floor and hit it squarely on the back with a hammer.

I wished we had done a better job of cleaning the kitchen.  That stuff stinks after a while.

Some bad news regarding using crabulas keihinus cleanus
the first one did a lousy job and went missing at lunch time
carb #2 crab surcumbed to the proprietory chemicals I entrusted him with
no's 3 &4 have set up camp in my emulsifier galleries and are demanding better work conditions
the SPCA did a dawn raid and are charging me with cruelty to animals
