Anybody do a dual disk brake coversion?
Lookz like it would be eazy enough, the mountz are all there.
Should just be a matter of coming up with the partz?
On my 78 CB750k, it lookz like you could use the left bracket & caliper just reversed?
I know it'z prorbably not that cut & dry but..........
Am i nutz or am i onto something?

Yes; You flip the left hand stuff over, but you will also need to take about 1/8" off the bottom (larger of the 3) mount on the fork ear.

   If you want to keep the Speedo drive you will have to have the back of the right hand disc machined to accept the drive.  Even then it's still tight.

Your example appears to be a CB550, correct? The thread is about a CB750 on which one would modify the speedo drive plate, not the disc. Modifications can be done with a bench grinder, or hand grinder of some sort, and vise or vice grips.

Maybe that would work on the 550 also? Don't know.

and in the middle of page 2 is a picture of one I ground down and one I had made by a machinist.

   Yes you are right, it is a 550. I was thinking that were the same, but I see that the 750 hub has 2 Small flats that allow for the method shown in the other thread.

Good to know, It looks easier to mod.
