So we want you to promise us one thing..

If & when that GHOF ex-roadracer spanks you bad thru the twisties, you must give us a detailed  rundown on the ride, just as you would, if you beat him!! ;D

You just can't judge them (relatively) old guys by their age and looks.

Wow! Makes me homesick for my old CB77 (305cc) roadracer. It looked just like that. I think the fairing was made by Advance and the pipes I had were Yosh, a little longer and swept up just a bit, but being an OLD guy, don't remember if that name is right... A better-handling, non-fussy, never-blow-up bike was never made. I could twist it to WOT, barely clutch the (4) gears up or down, and ride it cross-up in the turns, on pavement, drifting the little 3.00 tires around the really tight turns. It was a HOOT to race: I think I know what he was saying! I think the top speed was only 98 MPH (w/o speedo-tach in that fairing), but on a tight course, what a day you could have with it.
See SOHC4shop@gmail.com for info about the gadgets I make for these bikes.

Blood is thicker than water, but motor oil is thicker yet...so, don't mess with my SOHC4, or I might have to hurt you.

Yea, it gave me the grief, I'm the mechanic, so when his started acting up,
I had to diagnosis and try to get it back running. But, for a 31 year old bike
I suppose quirks will appear. I've never seen one back fire so effectively and
not blow the cans off the pipes.  ;D

So, did you work out what was wrong with it RM? Geez times have changed you know, 20 years ago, if a BMW and a Ducati went for a ride and one broke down, you'd just expect it to be the Italian bike...............  ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

My bets on the kill switch right now. It's loosing it's fire and flipping the switch several times
seem to make the difference.

A friend of mine recently bought a R1150R - It's nice, but I really thought it would have a bit more grunt.
I really expected more from 1150cc's.
