Hey from Wisconsin
« on: September 01, 2008, 12:44:17 PM »
Just wanted to say " Hi " from central WI.

Intro:  We went for a ride this morning and saw an old CB550 (1977) sitting along the road.  My wife who just got her license says let's look at that bike.  So we did and she sat on it got a grin on her face saying lets call the owner.  We did and 2 hours later she rode it home.

The old gal (not the wife) needs some work, Front break doesn't work (filled it with fluid), high beam out, No. 4 spark plug  end needs attention, only one turn signal seems to work.  Went looking for info and found this form.

I read several posts and this looks to be a group that has vast knowledge and willing to help (I must admit I mechanically challenged).

Greetings from Luck! Always glad to see another Wisconsin member join up. How about a couple of pics of your new ride? We love to see pictures here. ;D
There are old bikers and there are bold bikers but there are very few old, bold bikers.

Not doing what you can to make your bike ride-able during the best riding months of the year kind of defeats the purpose of owning it in the first place.
