Clutch cable length
« on: September 12, 2005, 06:06:23 AM »
 ???

I dutifully replaced a working clutch cable as per recommendations on this site and elsewhere for fear that I would be stranded gearless on the roadside somewhere.

I never placed the old and new side by side, but the new one seems to be too short? Is there a known length for the 1970 K0? Did Western Hills Honda let me down?

Thoughts appreciated before ordering any new parts.

 :)

I would say, take the new one off and lay it side by side with the old. If they are the same length, check how you had it routed through the bike (worth a shot).

If it is indeed too short, just take both of them back to the Honda shop and explain the problem. If they have any repubility at all, they should swap it out, or at least allow you to return the new one.
