77 CB750 Time for a new clutch, which brand to choose??
« on: April 13, 2005, 09:15:54 AM »
Hey I've been looking online for clutch kits, and it seems that only the friction plates are available aftermarket, not the steel plates, should I get both when replacing?? Which brand has a good rep?  should I opt for stiffer clutch springs? I have a K motor in an F chassis.

Use OEM friction and steel plates. Soak the frictions in fresh oil before assembling. Barnett extra plate kits are to thick which makes it difficult to find neutral at stop lights etc. Barnett springs are stronger and work well.

In both my 650s I used the cheap plates with HD springs.  Drag bike has been goin 8yrs or so like this.
