top fork bushings
« on: September 09, 2008, 12:21:47 PM »
not exactly sohc related but since i am trying to fit a different (lighter) set of forks to my CB500 racer, maybe somebody can help....

Looking for a set of top fork busings for what I believe is a 35mm Marzochi fork

 dimensions are:

35mm internal dia X 39mm external dia X 15mm height (will work also if they are 13-14mm high)

Does anybody know of a bike that uses such fork bushings? I'd rather get off the shelf items than start turning them on a late.

Thanks

TG

Hey TG,

Why not make a couple? Think it is about 10 minutes.

Better sorry for failing then for the lack of trying.

Worked for me...
A 1 3/8" I.D. off the shelf bushing will need just need .002-.003" polished from the bore to work on a 35mm shaft. Make them as tight or as loose as ya want.

Thanks, Rob, Art

Might go the DIY way if I dont find an OEM part...

thing is that I do preffer the original teflon coated bushings as they have less stiction.

Funny that no one makes those famous 51451-319-000 bushings....

Cheers
