Just goes to show how nice a bike can be if you throw money at it.  I may offend here but a stock 1990's Suzuki Katana 600 will offer better performance in all areas, at 1/4 the price, than that bike ever will. (I know, I know, a Katana is plastic and boring and not old... ::)) I am grumpy this morning.

Hopefully my bike will come out lookin' half as nice. Same concept, except I'm using a Katana's Front end and rear tire.

All that time and money and nothing done to improve engine performance??? Those engines are weak to begin with.....pumping 10 or 15 HP into it certainly wouldn't hurt.

Well I think that the reason it's so attractive now is because there's very little of the original bike left. I remember when they were new, a girl I knew had one, and I thought they were just plain, slabby little things with about as much "character" as a washing machine.

It's funny how 30 years later, people waffle on about how modern bikes are just plain, slabby little things with about as much "character" as a washing machine............  ::)
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

I just dont get it....dude has said he has over 10 grand invested in this bike and there is nuthin to show as far as engine performance gains. Looks like he just threw money at it buying billet engine parts and the other parts dont total up to half that. Three years?...doin what? By the price it looks like he outsourced most of the work anyway. Looked up this company denoonsp http://www.denoonsp.com/ he got alot of parts from weird they make stuff only for the 400F and the.....Suburu Impreza...???? Looks good should do for that amount of cash just wish the guy luck hope he breaks even.

Looks damn nice. So what if the engine is not hopped up. I thought the 400s were supposed to be quick anyways. At least thats what those who gush over it say. It is still a nice bike and I bet ANY of you would still ride it.

PLease tell me the Katana is not the yardstick we should be measuring bikes against?!?!? lol...they may be boring and plastic but their biggest downfall is that they are Katanas!

My brother had a 94 Katana 600. He really liked that bike, and so did I. In the late 90's they remodeled them to make them truely ugly, but I thought they were okay to start with. I still say throw a set of hard bags on them and they would make a nice sport touring machine... right along with the Hyabusa...  ;D Both of them ugly, but they go down the road ncie.  ;)

Hopefully my bike will come out lookin' half as nice. Same concept, except I'm using a Katana's Front end and rear tire.
I'm thinking about using the engine from that bike to build a reverse trike. We'll see where design and finances lead on that thought.

That's one clean looking bike
For 10K I want a clean looking bike, and a working girl to come over and shine my tins.  I can custom build a bike cooler than that for 15 benjamins and 3 months of spare time.  The Katana was only an example, I would venture to say ANY sport bike after 1990........ Dollar for dollar, he wasted his time and his mommas money.

There is always one in the bunch... This is a nice custom machine no matter what you have to say about it... I think that the concept and design is spot on.... Lets see that 15 hundred dollar bike that looks better then this..... And Katana, really..... c'mon on... This is a beautiful piece of machinery no matter which way you cut it... And to point out that if you had it and wanted to turn heads or have a bike that was worth conversation it would be bought and shipped tomorrow....... Not to mention that 15 years of technology would obviously improve the performance of any type of vehicle.... That is a moot point, I think that it beautiful.. That maybe cause I wouldn't know where to begin creating a piece of work like this......

Different strokes for different folks as they say...

Tey certainly did not do a nice job on the chainguard, bigger radii in the cutout for the shock and other areas would have had a nicer look.. headlight brackets, dont help it either..
