Thanks for the moral support!
Fishhead, those wiring diagrams for the fairing are nice. Fortunately that side of things is pretty easy to figure out. Its the butchered front end of the harness that has me scratching my head.
I'm pretty sure I'm contending with an unconnected ground which may have become disconnected in the course of my fairing swap. Many of the connections are loose. I'm going through them methodically cleaning them, dialectric greasing them and re-connecting them.
Unfortunately 2 PO's ago failed in their attempt to put in a radio and heated grips. They cut and spliced factory wiring willy nilly with non color correct wires. Isn't that just the best?
Good news is that I bolted up the fairing this morning and have turn signals and headlight high and low. Just no running lights still, including the tach and spedo illumination.
That will get me back and forth to work for a little while until I start to leave in the dark.... And will buy me a little more riding time this week until I have a moment to dig back in to the rats nest.
