Even if we can't repair 'M', maybe we can get his wheels going?

GREAT NEWS!

just talked to mark in person. he leaves the hospital next week to rehab in arkansas where his parents live (near you bill!). he sounds like he's doing great, though he's clearly got a long uphill. he was almost dead- literally- and all things considered he's a lucky man. he should make a good recovery in time.

i'd like to reiterate here, as he'll be posting himself as soon as this weekend and will probably not be self-soliciting, that donations are greatly needed and appreciated. this has hit him hard financially, and i doubt he'll be on here talking about that himself. if anyone reads this and hasn't made a donation, i'll suggest again before he's on here himself that we really can help a brother out here. to all of your kind words and donations so far, i salute you.

Great news!!- I've been checking this thread every day, waiting for this news. So good to know he's on his way to recovery.

Paulages- Yet another pat on the back......thanks for keeping us all informed.

We should really try to get these donations going.  I was in an accident when I was younger and didn't have insurance and the bills really mounted up.  I'm not saying we'll be able to cover his medical expenses, but when he gets home, it will be nice to order in meals and pay a few bills.  We can do better than $248.  Think of all the little (or big sometimes) amounts we spend on our bikes.  They're just bikes.  This is another human.  Let's do this!!

Well said bunghole..... ;) Just sent some greens.

I sincerely wish all the best for a quick and full recovery, Mark.

I would say there will be a lot of front end damage. I am so glad he is up and around.

the bike he crashed was a kz650. his '69 cb750 blew up its top end this summer, and he was just saving to start the engine rebuild i believe.

Of course we can help him. His 750 needs a head. Out of 4000 people nobody has a head for a 750?

I have an extra 750 head, but it has some chipped fins.  Happy to ship to wherever it needs to go to get ready.  Its a filthy mess.

Paul/Mark - be sure to check Mark's personal Paypal. Several of us jumped-in at the very beginning and sent funds for his use before Paul got his going.

I'm glad to hear he's on the way back.

i'll pass that info along, though it seems like he'll be around here soon. i'll give him the donations through me via check or on person, as paypal doesn't deserve any more than they've already made..
