Rear ended in traffic - no (serious) damage
« on: September 29, 2008, 09:34:50 PM »
I was stopped in traffic a couple days ago when I saw the car behind the car behind me jump forward.  I had the space in front of me, the bike in gear and... I started to drop the clutch, but I was too slow and I got kissed on the rear fender.

It didn't hit me any harder than I've wanted to kick the bike at times, but I am now in search of a new-ish grab rail (Honda calls it a fender. Ha, ha).

Stay ready folks - this one tried to come through three stopped cars to kill me.

You're lucky it was only minor bike damage Greg, the idiot must have been going some to push three cars into you.

Glad you're OK.

No kidding man, did you buy a lotto ticket after the event?

That's some scary stuff...  Wouldn't have been good if you hadn't been last in line!

Happy to hear you didn't get hurt.  That is why I always leave it in 1st with the clutch pulled while stopped at lights.

you're lucky man.

same thing happened to me last year in a cager, totaled my new-to-me 3 week old honda civic!
their ins. co. only paid me what i paid for the car, barely, after much yelling on the tele. guess they didn't have much money left after paying for the other 3 damaged cars. :-\
peace,

michel
