What's this doohicky on the frame?
« on: October 04, 2008, 05:27:53 pm »
I'm grinding all superfluous nonsense off of my '77 750K frame.  What is this little rectangular tab on the right of this picture?

It is centered between the left passenger peg mount triangle (which I've removed).

Thanks!

I believe that is a retaining tab for the cosmetic plastic cover above the chain guard.

Nevermind.  I just found the piece you were talking about.  There should be no issue in removing that piece and therefore the tab, correct?

if you leave enough tabs to some what hang the engine in and at least one point to bolt a wheel too and maybe a tank, you can grind away as much as you want... :D :D :D :D :D

I'm down to what looks like a broomstick with a loop-like thing on the end.  Is that enough?

Marti will pop around with his truck mounted uber welder to glue all the steel fillings back together when you get finished, should be enough left over for a 350 frame and maybe a key ring. ;D
I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!
