Ok, so this thread is old and dusty but it has been read a few times.  I'm in the Blakney area south of 485.  Anyone else?

Hey guys,

I live and also have a service and repair shop in Indian Trail, it's a little south of 485 off of hwy74. It is good to see others near by, we should get together for a ride when it warms up!

Looks like we might need snowmobiles or studded tires for a few more days   ::)
Give a shout next time you head out if you want company Mark and Jeff (or any other Charlotte Tarheels).

I usually keep it between 70-75 on the highway. Though i"ve been known to go a few mph faster.  ;D

Just John (Nikkisix) and I showed up. we did about 110miles out into Mt Pleasant and then to Red Oak, Oakborro, Stallins, Weddington, then split up & Home.

Johns first run sence some major repairs on his 78 hybrid. He has it running sweet.

I ran out of gas on the main with out warning and had to coast into a parking lot. :-[

Lots of people walked up to talk to us, one shook our hands for keeping the classics running.

Well do it again in about a month, y'all come.

BTW: John has some interesting thoughts on DynaBeads...anyone thinking of looking to Kresgin for balance should listen real hard.  ;D

The jury is out on the magic beans I mean dynabeads.  After we talked about your steering bearings and you mentioned a vibration when they where too loose, it started the gears turning.  While I was replacing the fork seals last night, I turned the bars and found they had a natural detente in the middle  ::)  The "all balls" steering bearings are on the way.

Every second Tuesday (this Tuesday) is Euro bike night at Mac's Speed Shop. If you've never been to Mac's, they have really good BBQ, beer n such.  There are usually 3-4 Japanese bikes there on Euro night as well, and while I would normally take my Triumph Tiger I'll be on the 350F or 750K this month.  Imagine, if you can, a motorcycle event without V-twin belt drive hardleys.  Hope to see y'all there!

I'm in Charlotte.

I dropped off for awhile, but I'm looking to get back into getting my 550 on the road again. I first need to transfer the title over before I put any more work into it. I'm looking to do that tomorrow and then I can start posting again to my rebuild thread.

Welcome back Magnus!  Good luck at the DMV, in NC the DMV is a bureaucratic machine that can test men's souls.

I'm in for a regular SOHC ride, South 21 is a good spot for me.  Also there is yet another local monthly meet for vintage bikes that starts April 15 in Gastonia at Freeman's Pub.   If anyone is interested I can forward the flyer.

Not bike related per se, but I was thinking about going to the NHRA Spring Nationals at the Z-Max strip on March 28.  One day tickets for "cheap seats" are $45, I would most likely go on Sunday. Info here: http://www.charlottemotorspeedway.com/dragway/tickets/nhra_4wide_nationals/
