Driving without rear blinkers
« on: October 22, 2008, 12:29:31 PM »
Im trying to find the website where it has the Michigan laws for specific things like blinkers/running lights that kind of thing. I just sold my rear blinkers and need to know if Im still legal on the road.

Why would you do that? You want to let the people behind you guess what you are going to do next? Or resort to arm signals all the time  ;) It may look cool but its not the most practical.....

In MA its legal only for bikes 72 and older.

cheers
Andy

Oh, it's definitely not a permanent thing. Im in the process of stripping down the bike before winter for my cafe build but there are days here and there that I still may want to ride to work.

Strange/Interesting, a modulating headlight, presumably for visibility, is permitted, but turn signals not required. :-\

I live 3 miles from work. Literary there are 2 turns to get to my job. I'll hold my hand upright at two stops if it means I can ride.

Thanks for the input, guys.

If you are building a cafe then you shoud look into a intergrated tail light like this -->

I have one on my 07 Ducati and it works like a champ. Bright as hell, and keeps the rear of the bike clean. Cool thing is too that you can just buy the LED board itself and put it into whatever housing u want..

I've seen those for my cruiser, but never thought about the other models. Some of those would work really well. Thanks for pointing this website out.
