Hello all
« on: November 09, 2008, 12:09:12 PM »
My name is Bob and I've been a Honda rider since 1964.  I usually ride a 2003 GL1800 but I also have a collection of older Hondas from the 1960's and early 1970's.  This past summer I added my first four cylinder machine to the fleet - a 1974 CB350F with just over 5,000 miles on it.  Got it all cleaned-up and running sweet, so that I'll be ready next season to put it on the road.

Welcome from Cambridge Ontario  ;D

I hope we can get enough guys with SOHC Hondas to form a group at the Paris show next spring.

You asked where I was from.  I live north-east of Toronto a-ways and I belong to the Great Pine Ridge section of the CVMG.  I've gone to the Paris show once a few years ago, to have a look.  I also attend the Toronto M/C shows and often help out at the RTI booth.  (I teach riding with their group.)

...Here is one of my favorites...similar to my first bike, except that it was blue.  You meet the nicest people.

And here's the last one (before the CB350F) that my son likes to run around on.  This winter we have to pull the motor and replace the broken kick shaft as well as rectify the stuck shift mechanism.  (I brought it home in my Austin Healey sportscar!)

In total I have eight Hondas (wife says that's 'nuff!!!)  The regular ride is a 2003 GL1800 - probably the best-ever Honda made.  The others that I have are:

   1962 CB77 (SuperHawk - owned since spring of 1966)
   1964 C105 (SuperCub)
   1965 S65
1965 C95 (Benly or sometimes called 150 Dream)
   1965 CB160 (baby Hawk)
   1971 SL100
   1974 CB350F

My SL is the 100 version.  It wasn't originally red when I got it (rather a sicky faded blue-green metalic).  I also took off the lights as we just want to ride it around the bush and fields.  (Besides, the headlight shell was all busted and the brake lens missing.)
