nobody else in NSW?
« on: November 11, 2008, 05:26:00 PM »
Hi i'm new to this place but thought I would see who may be out there in NSW... I'm attempting to fix up a 550F (550E engine).  I think I'll need help, in fact i already do with the getting the clutch to work properly.  It's not the same on the 550 as it is on the 500... Anyway, hello and happy to be here!

G'day Dman

I've searched high and low, if you are willing to hunt through boxes (with the part you want as comparison) the wreckers in Canberra can be helpfull

charges like the proverbial but if he has it and you need it...............

HI Guys,

I just got a CB750 unfinished project. Arrived yesterday.

Its going to be a long road ahead and I think this site might save me from time to time.

My mechanic suggested talking to
http://www.motorcyclewreckers.com/
the boss of the place sells vintage parts and operates from home.

Pikey? Do you ride a mountain bike with nobmob?

I'm in Newcastle and just joined forum as I've recently scored a '74 Cb550f Super Sport.
Busy giving her a polish and once over and dreaming of hours of tinkering. Lol

Will get some pics posted next time I'm able to kick kids off computer. Lol. Am using phone at mo and don't know how to get pics up from it.
Meanwhile time to rest my leg after 20 mins of kicking bike over and getting only a splutter here and there. Finally figured out that some petrol in the tank would help. Doh!

78 CB550 in Sydney...a Honda ride would be great, would be good to see a few out-n-about. All we ever see around here are those damn SR's

http://www.bikepartssydney.com.au/ these guys are pretty good, pricey but got heaps.

If anyone's looking for any 70's CB parts, I got quite a few off my bike for sale. PM if interested.

I'm here (in Sydney)!

Bought a 750 K7 a month ago and have been getting it running / fixed up / tuned / polished up the last few weeks. I have club rego now and will be taking her out in public tomorrow on a CEMCC club ride starting from Ettamogah Pub up near Windsor. I'd be keen to get a few other SOHC enthusiasts together for a ride sometime soon...
