I was going to replace the seal at the gear shift selector shaft, which is dried out and impossible to get off, but not the source of my leak. I couldn't get the gear shift selector seal off, so turned on the bike to see how bad the leak was with a slightly gouged seal from my screwdriver. Nothing was coming out, but I noticed that on top of the oil pressure guage there was a slow seep of oil coming out. I tried to unscrew the 7mm bolt and the whole top part spun and broke the electrical connector. I have two questions.
Do people think I shoulr replace the whole pressure switch assembly, or is there a specific part that leaks a lot that will solve the problem?
Anyone have a hint on how to get the gear shift selector off, the whole area was covered in a dirt and oil swamp and the seal is on there good?
thanks
