Motorcycle Deer hunters Unite
« on: December 10, 2008, 08:50:33 AM »
I'm starting a new Motorcycle Club. To be a member you have to have
a documented Deer encounter with your motorcycle. You must count coup to
be a member, deer doesn't have to die but it is desirable.  ;D

Here is the new hat I just received with the new seat from California, for some
reason Nick thought I might like this cap. I know I'll have to come up with a new logo
(where is photoshop Dave?) so as to avoid copyright troubles.

Sorry about your accident...And would you believe that there are STILL tree huggers out there who are anti-hunting?  Had that deer been in someone's freezer rather than in the path of your motorcycle, neither you nor the deer would be walking with a limp right now.   ;)

I think I might rather hit a deer than a roo! Given what TIA has said, the thing would get back up and kick your asss! ;D

In that case it's all the more reason to be armed with a 45, at least when I was laid out I could have shot the Roo if he started
anything.  ;D ;D

with that beak it looks like you could receive a nasty peck in the eye, make
sure you wear a full face with the shield down.  ;D ;D

If he's as big as an emu I'd say yes, I'll have to put this by the officers in the club,
what do you think Seaweb?  ;D

CrisPDuk, only if you hit a jack a lope on a motorcycle and then he'd have to
be a world class buck.  ;D

I can see we're going to have to go to a verification by wing man process already. ;D

NZ may not have big animals but they are home to some HUGE insects in the world if I remember correctly!

what if you avoid the deer but reach out and slap it on the rear as your going around it?

That's an excellent point Tramp. A finesse move should trump blundering into a grazing deer. ;D     Counting coup, as I understand the term, was a North American Plains Indian custom - Wiki "Any blow struck against the enemy counted as a coup, but the most prestigious acts included touching an enemy warrior, with the hand or with a coup stick, then escaping unharmed.  Risk of injury or death was required to count coup."
Roberto's new exclusive club seems stacked towards rural and country riders,  maybe a butt slap on the fly ( I'm thinking Sams' ex gf  :)) could be an urban equivalent?

ok, it took me a bit to spot it but  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D daaaaaaaaammn your good Dave.  ;D ;D ;D ;D

I was expecting a deer rack on the bike.  ;D ;D

I prefer to count coup whilst airborne at 70mph. Actually I was attempting a
steer wrestling move but the missed my grab on the nose.  ;) ;)

Hey Tramp, anyone who counts coup with a butt slap or head slap or any slap
whilst remaining upright with no injuries gets extra points.  ;D ;D

What about a moose or black bear encounter? Do those count? Bullwinkle stepped out just a few yards before I zinged past him and the bear I saw from about a mile before I went by.

Do you think they'll let me into a safari park on my 550?
