78K SS brake lines

ok i looked through a bunch of old posts and found a few great online site to get custom made brake lines and such. now as i understand it the dimensions to the caliper are 10mm x 1.25? i'm trying to do what many have done on here, i want a stainless straight from my MC to my caliper. so basically i want to know how i can make a banjo fit directly to my caliper, if that is not possible do i need to use a male adapter? and what would i use to go to the male adapter?

so if anyone knows dimensions as far as fittings are concerned for a stocker 78K 750 that would be awesome, the length, well is the easy part. ;D

I bought mine from HEL for my 78K and I had a choice. They would make them up either way. I chose to stay stock.

what do you mean you had a choice? do you mean you had a choice as far as striaght to the caliper as opposed to from the MC to the peice under the headlight and then to the caliper?

My choice was to have the SS line go directly to the caliper, or have it attach to the solid tubing originally used. I am not aware of any intermediate connection below the headlight on the K model. On the F model there is a splitter behind the Honda nameplate to feed the two calipers.

yea there is a "splitter" on the k model its where the brake switch it, and then continues to the next rubber line. i think what i'm gona do is go AN3 style, that way i can get any banjo bolft i need and just screw on a hose, its what all the harley and chopper guys do, nice, easy, cheap, and sweet looking

I have to agree with BobbyR...there was no splitter near the headlight on my 78 750K.
The join from rubber to steel was below, near the calibar.
When I replaced the stock brake line with the SS line, a local shop made me one solid line from caliber to MC. It had a stock SS fitting in the caliber and an SS banjo bolt on the MC.

Just my 2 cents.

The connection to the caliper is a simple flare type fitting as I recall.

Yeah, my original one was just like the flare on my trucks line. ;)
