Twisties

I rode my '72 5004 to Bear Mountain, NY, recently to ride with a colleague of mine. Driving the road was a real learning experience, some of the tighter curves around Ft. Smith and on the mountain were very tight,  framed by 2-4 foot rocks placed every 4 feet or so on the roadside--kind of a new york rumble strip. :o

Ducatis, Aprilla, harley and bmw were carving through curves, knee pads skimming (almost like speed channel).

I and my honda represented for the 'ol superbike crew; the bike ran well, as I tried to keep up with a steep learning curve...my friend was riding an '05 Yamaha R6.

from SW mass, it was a 260 mile day. no breakdowns, leaks, or spills.

thanks. I mean it.

I know that road very well, and keeping up with the sport bikes is not easy. I usually annoy Harleys on the road, wih all their noise, they aren't that fast and don;t handle very well. When they are scraping my old 750K has planty more lean and speed left in her.
