what really captured my artistic interest as a kid was Spawn comics ,  the art was so dark , and harsh, and the stories where very in depth ..i could never pinpoint what my attraction to it was ....   maybe the fact that my parents absolutely hated it  ;D

I think that's a plausible explanation for many of today's trends, music, ideology, etc.

Imagine if your kid turned religious puritan as a teen, or an accounting assistant clerk, listening predominantly to Montovani, and worshiping sad eye poodle art done in velvet and sequins.  ;D

Nice work! The first image reminded me that my grandmother had been a Dodgers fan when they were in Brooklyn and grandpa was a Yankees fan. They're both from Massachusetts, go figure.

Like the POV Porsche too. 356?

Good call on the Porche print Ecosse!

Here's the info: Porsche Dashboard - The storm has passed as a 1956 356A Porsche drives toward the dawn. This vintage print, limited edition of 200, is a reproduction of the artist's original painting done in 1976. Printed on canvas embossed paper, this print was featured in Christophorus and won a PCA first prize.

Depending on the kid's age, either action may give him exactly what he wants; attention, and not change his long term negative behavior pattern.  Older kids can better differentiate between negative and positive attention.  Younger ones just do what gets them the most attention, especially if they have to compete with others for that attention.  Children are very good at learning how to push the parent's buttons, in order to manipulate their environment.

If your kid develops a pattern of being a snot, you are probably reinforcing that behavior in some way, if unwittingly.

If they are trying out different music/art in order to elicit strong emotions and unsettle you, don't let them know it is working.  You'll just get more of the same toward even more extremes.    Unfortunately, not all parents know this.  Even if you do, the kids can pair up with other kids, who HAVE learned just how to get under their parents skin, and then try out approaches on your that worked for them.

It's never easy...

Excellent observations TT. That's why I advocate keeping children in cages too small to stand upright, in a dark basement.

I'd be a great dad.

Wow.  I really respect people who can so thoroughly visualize an image that they can replicate it with a pen.
