Newbie on this board and to motorcycles
« on: December 22, 2008, 12:22:51 AM »
Hi everyone! I just recently got my first bike and it's a '77 cb750 Super Sport. It's Sulfur Yellow and needs a little work. The weather here in Nashville hasn't been real good to work on it since i don't have a shed or anything. The side panels were so brittle that the one on the kick start side is partially crushed from kick starting it the other day. I have to mess with it in some form or fashion at least once a week. It's been sucking life out of my other main hobby, martial arts.

Thanks Paul. I can't wait for better weather. Know of any common problems with these?

Sure, they don't get ridden enough!  ;D
See my riding rules, below.
Side covers can be obtained, if you're looking for them. I got some beauties from UK, just need to paint them. Brand new!

Welcome!

Lots of info here. Searches yield a lot, but the F bikes are always sought after. Nice bikes.

Hondaman - When I get my seat back together I'm going to ride the hell out of it. I got some side panels from JC Whitney. I'm looking forward to getting them on and refinishing the emblems

??? Wow, I didn't even know JCW had side panels. I'll be interested to see a picture of them when you get them.

dont think they will fit the F
I was impressed at some of the things they have there for these bikes. Even full ignition switches to suit the 75 750, cheap too

Ah, so THAT's where those covers come from! I see them on cafe' bikes around here. No, those probably won't fit the "F" bike. There are some similar ones around for the "F", though: look for the thread "F owners: what did we get ourselves into?", where a lot of good info and 'F' riders gather.
