Always do clutch freeing ritual
--neutral, clutch in--kick it 'till the clutch is free-(engine stops turning over)
Machine starts easily, but tremendous knashing of gears when putting it into gear.
--eventually I believe I will break something in there.
Looking for a prescription that doesn't involve pulling off
the primary case and taking the clutch apart.

ER
(1) They all do that sir
(2) you gonna have to take the case off and make sure that the pressure plate is lifting "square"---adjust springs till it does---Good idea to check inner and oute splines are OK at same time.

Pick any answer and live with it
