OK so I have been using this stuff for a very long time. Permatex Form a gasket Aviation Sealer. Usually if it gets to old and starts to gum up I just throw it out, however last week I was not able to get to the parts store to get more. I also noticed that carb spray dissolves it quite nicely. So I sprayed a little carb spray in the can just to see what it would do, and sure enough it acted exactly like a thinner, it also hardend back up in a few days on the engine. So I guess in a pinch you can add some carb spray to your aviation sealer.
