Fuzzy,

I get Motorcycle Classics magazine from a friend at work when he is done with it. It is very good. This month (maybe last month) they started a 1972 CB500 restoration to a cafe racer that they plan on giving away.

I like Classic Bike- good pix and reviews.

Antique Motorcycle Club puts out an OK magazine- but they give you a killer T-shirt!

EasyRiders format is antique...
Dude- your 8 layers are showing!

I've been subscribed to Classic Bike for the past 9 months, and I honestly say that it leaves a fair bit to be desired.
I find a lot of the bikes are too 'recent' on too many articles. Also a lot of the rebuilds and tips etc are based around BSA's or 1960s Triumphs. It seems as if Classic Bike considers these 2 marques the only ones worth writing about.
There were hundreds of different makes being manufactured on the continent between the wars. But there is nary a mention of any of the more obscure bikes.
IMHO I regard the Classic Bike journo's as a little bit too "armchair and bedslipper". Not enough adventure. Not enough barn searching.
I reckon next time I'll give Classic Motorcycles or Classic Bike Mechanics a go.
