Thanks for the assist Matt. ;) I "Previewed" it before I posted it and it seemed okay, not sure what the deal is (or was). If it'd just have been Sam who couldn't see it, I'd be wondering if he'd "Tied One On" last night and maybe his head wasn't on straight just yet! ;D ::)  Just kidding with ya Sam, "Can You See It Now?" ;)

scunny, hope YOU are able to cast an eye on it now too! ;)

I agree Matt, Pretty Sweet at that! 8) ;) Like to hear that one wind out AND feel the Power! 8) That was posted over on the hondatwins.net and I just HAD to bring it over here and share for those who'd also appreciate it. ;)

                             Take care Guys, Bill

About 20 years ago there was a shop here on Long Island that had a 4 valve per cylinder water cooled head for 450DOHC. It was in the dislpay case for a long time.

Oh Yeah, MIGHTY NICE indeed! 8)  Matter of fact, that's where the one I posted, is from also. I guess the one that I posted, isn't as "All Out" as the one you put on here. :) I wouldn't turn either on of them down. One of the members over on hondatwins.com is checking into what he might be able to do, as far as getting a spectaculor 450 engine for his build. 8)

Yep Bill that was me!!  ;D I just lurk around here mostly..

So far it's looking like the bill will be around $3000.oo with me doing the disassembly and reassembly. BUT that's a far cry from the $12,500.oo that they want for a race spec 450 engine at stage 3..

Ya, the pricing is crazy. Could have a decent built up V-8 for that.
Those retro builds (Hansen & M3) along with Harley motors/builds are waay overpriced.
Me, I could afford a stock motor in that Hansen frame... maybe.  Probably not.  :-[

Oh yes I can give you some comments about the Nova dry clutch but almost all of them are unprintable! If you like spending lots of money on parts only to have to re-engineer them yourself then go for it, if you want a bolt on easy solution with no problems, don't even think of going down this route...hey but if you do - give me a shout when you hit the problems and I will be able to tell you the solutions  ;D

My final issue sorted now - got a nice cappellini breather to replace the CB450 standard oil filler cap and dipstick assembly and the gearbox no longer has a dipstick to file away at! (www.cappellinimoto.it)

I took a look at their website and while I don't own a 450.... I was thinking of making a dry clutch conversion for the 750.

Pretty hard to do I'm sure. But I would never sell to someone else if I didn't have the kinks worked out.

Seems like a bunch of garbage to me about the Nova people. What jerks!!

I eventually want to drag a motor I'm working on and my previous drag had a dry clutch. Worked a lot better for me as I like to dump hard on clutches.

Just dreaming it seems.  :-\

I clearly understand about that "dreaming" part. ;) I do quite a bit of that myself! And here's just ONE example!

Well I have never dragged a 750 before and all the other wet clutch bikes I have ridden seem to blow clutches quite often.... Maybe it's just me.

I've done a lot of machining for other projects (mostly other people) and have considered using an RC magneto drive or making one. Plus adding a dry clutch to my already modified on paper of course) 750 engine.

Just as a side there might be a market for it, but I highly doubt it. Most people hate them.

I'd buy one! I l-u-r-v-e- the rattle and screech of a nice dry clutch and it's about the only thing my 750 hasn't got!  ;D
