Here is a picture of my R69S. Notice the subtle modifications made by my co workers.
I am surrounded by 200 plus horsepower bikes all day. They are not impressed by the 36 hp. sport model.
Geez that pic brought back memories Ken, I "inherited" my older brother's R69S back in the 1970's, it had a chrome plated frame and "Dunstall" megaphones, my brother bought it from an oil rig worker who won it in a card game, it was a great bike, but the clods at the local Kawasaki dealership advanced the ignition and leaned off the mixture, causing two holed pistons!
Anyway, they fixed it and big bro rode it around until he locked up the gearbox, and rather than fix it, he bought a newer R75, and gave the old one to me. I joined the army before I got a chance to fix it, and I think he sold it for a couple of hundred bucks. Boy I wish I had it now, with a nice "Steib Replica" chair, it'd be sweeeet! Hang on to that beauty mate, they're only getting rarer! Cheers, Terry.
