removing the shocks question
« on: January 31, 2009, 09:22:51 AM »
In order to remove the shocks from my bike to get the swing arm off do I need to keep them compressed.
I have never removed shocks before and don't know if they are going to spring apart.
any help would be cool.
thanks

Unbolt the clevis bolt at the swingarm, pivot bottom of shock back, remove mount top nut, pull shock off top stud with slight twisting motion.

Support the swingarm before you remove the other one ;)

A bundji cord holds the swing arm up nicely.

Word.  Measure twice, cut once.
