K1 gauge faces
« on: February 06, 2009, 09:57:37 AM »
I'm restoring a '72 CB750 and trying to keep it as original as I can.  I've been doing research for gauge faces and found Anubis to be the source for gauge faces, but at the top of the page it says they're not accepting orders and I didn't get a response to my email.

So are there any other sources to get stock looking gauge faces?  I tried searching multiple times and there is supposedly a company in Japan that sells the faces too, but I couldn't find a link.  Sorry if this is a repost.  I have them apart now and the rest of the gauge is restored.  I'm just looking for the perfect face to finish them off.  Thanks!

Matt...the Yamiya stuff is pricey but the quality is the best.  I bought some KO faces a year ago for my restore and they are identical in every way to the originals.  As far as another source, you could watch eBay for a nice used set or try to find someone to make you the faces to stick on with vinyl.

I don't know anything about him or the service. Many here have used him and may chime in.

I'm likely to give him a shot when the time comes.

Also look at Clocksndials in the UK. I purchased faces for a K0 750 from them.

I tried a set of these for my 71 CB750K1 gauges. They are not a perfect color match for NOS but if used a s a pair look nice.

I just ordered off ebay.  I'm sick of sending out emails... this was easy.  The faces are paid for and they're shipping soon.

Thanks for the help!

Another option would be to find a local screen printing company, or sign making shop that can print some new ones. I'm not sure of the price but I read on another forum that there is someone selling them for 350's for about $30-40 bucks a pop.

Yeah, I paid 31 dollars shipped for the set off ebay.  Its not worth it for me to do the graphics, send them out, throw the first set away, do it again, etc.  Someone else already put the work into it.  It would be a great suggestion for anyone that has some artistic talent that wanted something custom, but I think for my application the ebay special will do the trick.

i have those and they look good still, since '03. Be sure to follow his instructions exactly and they'll turn out nice.
