Anyone have any experiance/knowledge with the CB1000 "Big One"
« on: February 09, 2009, 11:10:06 PM »
A 95' just turned up for sale locally and I have always wanted one. Anyone do any miles with one and how did you like it? Know any of the common problems or perks? What should I look out for?

Picture for reference, not actual bike.

   This pretty much sums it up.   76' CB592 cafe. 69 750 project, 03 CBR954, 75 750 super sport.

Never actually ridden a "stocker" Big One.

Built a few engines though, and ridden some homemade chassis with them installed.

Not a bad motor. With proper care, and a few tricks learned here (the ones that apply to most 4cyl bikes), should last you a good while.

My biggest problem was getting everything timed right and keeping it that way. Always wanted to jump around.

I had a slick one with a full two brothers header/can combo on it that I rode twice before a woman ran a stop sign in front of me.  Now it is in heaven...I'd recommend it though.  Nice hydraulic clutch.
